Where the numbers come from

Statistics on this site are calculated from listing data provided by California Regional Multiple Listing Service, Inc. (CRMLS) through IET Real Estate's IDX data feed. The data is refreshed nightly. The date of the most recent update appears at the bottom of every page.

Homes for sale and rentals are reported separately: choose For Sale or Rentals above the question box. Rental figures come from lease listings, where the price is the monthly rent.

Areas covered

This site covers these ZIP codes only: 90004, 90026, 90027, 90029, 90039, 90041, 90042, 90065, 91001, 91011, 91012, 91020, 91021, 91030, 91101, 91103, 91104, 91105, 91106, 91107, 91108, 91201, 91202, 91203, 91204, 91205, 91206, 91207, 91208. Questions about other areas return no data, which does not mean there were no sales or rentals there.

This site is not a multiple listing service. Each chart states the time period it covers and how many sales it is based on. Figures based on only a few sales can swing widely, so treat them with care.

How your question is answered

When you ask a question, an AI model reads only the words of your question and translates them into a structured search (for example: property type, ZIP code, date range). The AI never sees listing records or the resulting statistics. All counting and averaging happens in our own database, and the summaries you read are generated from fixed templates.
